Who We Are

Taupo Timebank is a charitable organisation that fosters community resilience, self-sufficiency, and connection through hands-on education and local initiatives. Our community Gardens at 250 Spa Rd are open every Saturday, 9am–3pm, for anyone to visit, learn, grab a bite and get involved.
 

We run practical programmes such as Young Pioneers (for children) Upskillz (for school leavers), DIY For Life! (adult practical self-sufficiency skills), and seasonal workshops that teach skills like gardening, bushcraft, cooking, and preserving. We also host regular markets to support local growers and makers, events to bring in the fun in a gloomy world and create opportunities for people to share knowledge, build confidence, and strengthen community ties across the Taupo district.
