


Young Pioneers is a hands-on programme designed to empower kids and young adults with essential life skills and foster self-sufficiency from a young age. Through engaging activities and practical lessons, children will learn valuable techniques for sustainability, resourcefulness, and independence. Our curriculum blends fun with learning, inspiring kids to become confident and capable individuals. Young Pioneers is set at our beautiful community gardens next to Spa Park - the perfect classroom!

Animal Husbandry:

Basic Cooking and Nutrition:

Cooking simple and nutritious meals using fresh ingredients

DIY Skills:

Basic carpentry and woodworking

Repairing and repurposing household items

Bush Craft & Skills

Shelter Building: Teach children how to construct shelters using natural materials like branches, leaves, and tarpaulins

Fire Starting: Demonstrate safe methods of starting fires using friction, flint and steel, or fire starters.

Explore a range of other skills including; wilderness navigation, foraging, tool craft, nature awareness, water sourcing & purification, outdoor cooking, knot tying.

Costs & Dates

Costs
$150 term or $15 per class. (1.5 hour lessons x 10 week term)

*After-school classes
$120 term or $12 per class. (1 hour lessons x 10 week term).

*Pay as you go or book the whole term. Eftpos available. Limited spots available!

Full day/half day bookings
​
We are able to offer multiple lessons over the course of a full day/half day (minimum 20 students).
Please let us know if you have a particular focus i.e. gardening, bush skills, sustainability and we can customise to suit.
